Fjӓllrӓven Rewool is one of the coolest eco-friendly fashion initiatives on the block. They take a load of the spill (unused material) from Italian suit factories and then use traditional techniques to turn it into high-quality yarn that’s soft as virgin wool. This scarf is one of the project’s best products. 
Its colors look as if they’ve been squeezed fresh from a Swedish landscape: deep green, dun and thunder grey. On closer inspection, you’ll notice a richness to those color blocks – a variety of tones playing into each one.
This could well be the most pleasant-to-wear of all the scarves we’ve reviewed this year. It’s fabulously warm, and it lies nice and flat thanks to its rib-stitch pattern, which prevents the scarf from rolling up during wear.

Ellesse Leppy Block Panel Scarf

Sporty scarves are all the rage this year – and we rate this one as the cream of that particular crop. It’s stretchy, colorful and particularly well suited to being worn in a knot). Perfect for a frosty afternoon on the terraces.
In case anyone’s in doubt as to who made this scarf, the Ellesse brand name is printed in huge white letters along one whole side of it, and on a small badge on the other.
It’s pretty long, so be careful not to trail its fringes on the floor.

Is it just us, or is H&M on fire this season? First, they launched their hugely successful collaboration with William Morris & Co.; now they’re giving us sumptuous cashmere scarves at fast-fashion prices.
Every winter wardrobe needs a little black scarf – an LBS if you will – and this super-comfortable example fits the bill nicely.
Much like Fjӓllrӓven’s Rewool scarf, it’s rib-knit, and so is resistant to rolling up in the oh-so-annoying manner of certain scarves.

This might just be us, but to our eyes, this Ted Baker Lifton scarf has a slightly Victorian look to it. We rather like it.

The big draw of this scarf is its diamond pattern, which looks great whichever way around you’re wearing it (one side is predominantly navy; the other is mainly sky-blue). Another highlight is its black-and-white fringe, which provides an interesting color contrast.
